Hallo Lüneburg
Our second day we went to a beautiful little town called Lüneburg. It was one of the only towns in Northern Germany that was not destroyed during the Second World War. We got a great tour of the town and learned about its rich history as a center for the Salt Industry. It was also the home of Johann Sebastian Bach for a short time in his youth! There were beautiful Victorian and Baroque buildings, exquisite ornamental brick work and isn't the inside of the Nikolaikirche breathtaking? We spent the afternoon wandering the town and eating ice cream with Jette and her parents.
