How Lovely: Need Supply

I am a jewelry wearer.  I would happy to be wearing 5 rings at all times, but the cheaper jewelry I have gotten in the past few years starts to wear or turn my fingers green.  It's quite hard to locate good affordable jewelry, but I think I found some!  Need Supply is a Virginia based boutique with an amazing online store.  They have men's and women's clothing and a lovely selection of jewelry.  Some of my favorites are the Pearl Cluster Ear Cuff (if I didn't have my ear pierced there I would have already  bought this), the Maya Necklace,  and these sweet Pearl Balance Earrings.

Decadent Design: Hackwith Design House

I hope you all had an amazing weekend.  If you have some spare time today you really must check out Minneapolis Fashion Designer and maker Lisa Hackwith at Hackwith Design House.  Her clothing is beautiful, simple and chic.  Her attention to detail is what really makes the pieces special.  Plus the photography is stunning!  An inspiring stylist is in our midst.   Pictured above are the Indigo Miller Crop Top, Black and White Swim Suit, and the Kelby Top.  I love it all!

Warm Weather Wonderfuls

Earlier today the Minnesota forecast was for white-out blizzard conditions, so I thought it would be a good time to check out the current swim suit selection.  I love some of the Target suits this year, but I tried them on and they just didn't fit me right... then I stumbled upon Urban Outfitters Mix and Match bikinis.  Aren't the black and white stripes amazing? The floral Bandeau is also stunning.  I can't wait to try on some of these high waisted bikini bottoms.  Have you ever tried them on?  Are they as flattering as they seem to be?

Sneaker Love

Hello all!  I hope you had a great weekend!  My wonderful parents came in town.  We spent the weekend doing random wedding tasks and eating too much Minneapolis food.  

Zach always has the coolest sneakers, so it it got me thinking... Do you love sneakers?  I do!  For some reason, I think a dress and a pair of good sneakers is so effortlessly cool.  What is your favorite pair of sneakers?  If I had eighty extra dollars I would get these cool kicks in grey.

Loving Lately: Midi Rings

 I have always been an avid ring wearer.  My new favorite rings (aside from my engagement ring of course) are Midi Rings.  I bought some from H&M to see if I like them and sure enough, I do.  The only problem is... they turn my fingers green.  It is probably time to invest in a few nicer Midi Rings.  Have you bought any great Midi Rings recently?  These ones are cute and this one would be cute as a Midi.

Do or Don't: Adult Overalls

Hello all!  I hope you had a wonderful weekend.  My mom came to Minneapolis this weekend (she is still snowed in) and we went wedding dress shopping!

I have a Monday fashion question.  Would you ever wear overalls?  A girl at my work is always wearing amazing overalls and jumpsuits to work and she looks so stylish.  I mean, how cute are these and these?  They would look great with some Chelsea Booties.  Maybe I'll try a pair on.

Favorite Jeans

I really struggle to find jeans that fit me right, but recently I found a pair that fits me perfectly, the Skinny Skinny Jeans from Madewell.  They give a girl room to have a butt, but are still form fitting! I wear them to work all the time.  Is there a brand of jeans you always get?

Do or Don't: Get Your Make Up Done

There are about a million things that need planning before our wedding one of them is wedding day make up!  I have never gotten my make up done before and can't decide if I want to or not.  Have you ever gotten your make up done before?  Would you recommend doing it? I want my make up to look natural so I look like myself and for some reason I feel like if I get my make up done that won't happen.  What do you do with your make up for big events:  have a friend do it, do it yourself, or get it done by a professional?

Graceful Wear: Spring has Sprung

Hello everyone!  I hope you had a great weekend.  Spring has finally sprung in Manhattan and it is wonderful.  On our way down to the Gulf of Mexico, Zach and I stopped in Austin at an outdoor mall.  I went to Madewell and got two pairs of shorts on sale.  They are the best (you should go buy some!).  Pictured above are the deck shorts, Plucky Pistaschio Shimmer Polish, a plain polka dot tank I got thrifting, and some sandals I got from Urban Outfitters, but these would be cute too.

Do or Don't: Bangs

So last year I got my hair cut short and it was great, but I am growing it a bit longer (bob length max). When looking for haircut inspiration, I came across this beautiful short bob.  Check out those bangs!  I love them!  Have you gotten bangs before?  If so, did you like them or not?  I always worry about them because I have curly hair.

Graceful Wear: London Fog

Graceful Wear: Winter Make Up

I don't know what city you live in, but winter is definitely here in Manhattan.  I used to dread winter, but I quite enjoy winter fashion!  My new favorite thing to wear is winter makeup.  Pictured in my graphic above is:

Graceful Wear: Winter Coats

Hello all! Happy Tuesday.  I got to go back to Homaha two weekends ago, and my mom bought be this fabulous coat!  Target has a bunch of coats out.  My mom got this one.  I love them both.  These H&M Twill Pants and infinity scarf would look really cute with the black polkadots.  I also am still loving my Pink & Pepper Riding Boots that I got last year.

Fall Florals

With the new season comes the much expected fall color pallet.  Jewel tones, dark browns and deep greys have taken over.  This doesn't mean you have to put away your spring florals and summer dresses.  If you know me well, you know that I love floral dresses and this year I can't bear to pack them up for fall and winter.  So, today I autumnized one of my spring dresses by adding patterned tights, boots and a chambray. Check out a quick sketch above.  These tights would have also been cute.

Fall Lookbook: Anthropologie
