Hallo Hamburg

The next day we actually went to Hamburg.  We went with Jan and his girlfriend Wiebke.  Wiebke is a firesafety engineer and professor in Hamburg and knew a lot about this city and all of the new buildings being built in Hamburg (which is a lot).  We went on a boat tour and then we got to go into some $2 million apartments overlooking the port.  Next we were shown around the new architecture school for HCU.  We ended our day with fresh seafood.  We spent the night looking at Blue Port.  It is an art installation covering the entirety of Hamburg's ports created by Light Artist Michael Batz.  There are blue lights on everything, from cruise ships to cranes.
